5 THINGS TO DO IN VIENNA

As I have already mentioned in my Visual Diary Post from Amsterdam, I have spent 4 days in Vienna together with my parents. Vienna has been on my list for some time now, also thanks to the girls from The Daily Dose, and since my parents were aware of my wish to visit the Austrian capital, they gave me this city trip for graduation. One thing is for sure: Vienna didn´t disappoint me one bit. I think I have never seen so many beautiful builings in one place (except for Paris maybe) and I have never eaten this well in a foreign city- soon more on this one. What I especially liked and what you shouldn´t miss while being in Vienna? Find out in this post.

  • Schloss Belvedere:

Belvedere is defenitely a thing you shouldn´t miss and I, personally, liked it even more than Schloss Schönbrunn. Is there a need to add anything when looking at these pictures?! Inside the baroque palace, there is also an art exhibition, where you can find the worlds´ biggest collection of paintings from Klimt and much more.

How incredibly beautiful is this city?! I was aware of the fact, that the architecture in Vienna is pretty amazing, but it seems like every single corner in Vienna is picturesque with richly-ornamented builings. You should defenitely look up and admire the beautiful architecture!

For shopping, I can recommend Kärntnerstraße. You can find all the high-street shops there like Zara, H&M, Mango, but also the Steffl Department Store, where you can fulfill yourself all your designer wishes. In the Goldenes Quartier, a lot of designers have their stores as well like Chanel, Louis Vuitton or Hermès. By the way, walking down Kärntnerstraße, you will bump into the Stephansdom, something you shouldn´t miss while being in Vienna.

Schloss Schönbrunn is defenitely a thing you shouldn´t miss while being in Vienna, even when you´re not a big fan of Sisi. We also did an Audio-Guide-Tour ( the Imperial Tour, ca. 40 min.) through the palace, which I can really recommend.

  • 7. Distrikt:

I really like the 7th District. You can find a great mix of cute cafés and restaurants there, as well as little boutiques or concept stores. By the way, the 7th district is not far away from the Museumsquartier, so you can easily combine these two.
