RECIPE: OREO-STRAWBERRY-CAKE

I´m such a lover for all things sweet like cake, chocolate, macarons, waffles, strawberries - you name it, I probably can´t get enough of it. When I saw, that the Dr.Oetker chocolate pizza finally is available, I completely freaked out in the supermarket, didn´t stop smiling, because I couldn´t believe my luck- no joke, but that´s another story. With this being said, there was no way around not having a birthday cake only because my mom wasn´t there to make me one. So I took out one of my favorite recipes the evening before my birthday to make myself a birthday cake. With strawberries, oreos and chocolate, this cake has everything I love mixed together and is really easy to make! You don´t need any fancy equipment, which is ideal when you´re living the student life and it tastes amazing as well. I even recommended this cake to a friend when she asked for a recipe to make for her flatmates´birthday - and they loved it, too. Reasons enought to share the recipe with you!

INGREDIENTS
for the batter:
100gr dark chocolate
100gr milk chocolate
125gr butter
50gr sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
100gr flour

for the topping:
400gr quark
1 pack of vanilla sugar
200ml whipping cream
400gr strawberries
16 oreos

1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius and lightly grease your cake springform tin.
2. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and melt it together with the butter in a pot.
2. Mix the sugar and eggs. Add the flour, baking powder and the chocolate mixture and mix it until the mixture is smooth. Spoon the batter into the prepared tin and bake it for 12-15 minutes.
3. While the cake is cooling down, mix the quark together with the whipping cream and vanilla sugar. Crumble a third of the oreos into small pieces and add them to the topping. Spread the topping evenly across the surface of the cake once it has cooled down.
4. Cut the strawberries into small pieces and crumble the remaining oreos. Place them on to the topping.
