"I must have flowers always and always" hat Claude Monet mal gesagt und ich kann mich da direkt anschließen. Blumen machen mich einfach glücklich, besonders natürlich Pfingstrosen - wie könnte es anders sein?! Diese Pfingstrose habe ich übrigens auch für ein neues Projekt gebraucht, wovon ich euch schon bald mehr erzählen kann.
Claude Monet once said "I must have flowers always and always" and I can only agree to that. Flowers are such a simple way to make me happy- especially peonies. Could it be any different? I actually needed this peonie for a new project I am working on! I am so excited to see how everything turns out.
Außerdem geht es für mich am Montag endlich nach Spanien. Eigentlich müsste ich gerade meinen Koffer packen, aber ich habe noch so viel zu tun, weil ich Blogposts für die nächsten zwei Wochen vorbereiten möchte. Dazu kommt noch, dass ich arbeiten gehen und noch letzte Erledigungen machen muss- ziemlich busy bin ich momentan. Aber dafür werde ich ab Montag mit Sonne in Valencia belohnt. Yay!
My trip to Spain is also coming closer and closer! I probably should be packing my bags right now, but I really want to prepare posts for the next two weeks, so that you´ll have something to read while I am enjoying good food and the sun in Spain. I am really busy right now, because I have to go to work as well as running some errands, but I don´t want to complain. On Monday, I am off to soak in some vitamin sea and some spanish sun. Yay!
Letzte Woche habe ich mit einer Freundin mehr oder weniger unfreiwillig dieses schöne Café ausprobiert (Krämerie Maison Schmitz in Trier) . Eigentlich wollten wir uns nämlich am Samstag nachmittag in den Palastgarten setzen und die Sonne genießen. Doch gerade, als wir mit unserem frisch gekauften Obst aus dem Supermarkt kamen, hat es angefangen zu regnen. Deswegen sind wir in ein Café geflüchtet und haben ein leckeres Schoko-Tartelette genossen, während es draußen einen monsunartigen Regen gab. Später wurde das Wetter jedoch so schön, dass wir unseren ursprünglichen Plan doch noch umsetzen konnten.
Last week, a friend of mine and I tried out this cute café (Krämerie Maison Schmitz in Trier) - more or less against our will. On Saturday, we wanted to enjoy the sunshine in the Palastgarten, but the weather had other plans. By the time we left the supermarket with some fruits, the pouring rain started. Therefore, we seeked refuge in this cute café and got to enjoy super yummy chocolate tartelettes while looking at the terrential rain outside. Later that day, the weather got really nice again, so we could still enjoy the sunshine outside with some fruits.
Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich das bereits hier erwähnt habe, aber ich werde langsam zu einem Profikoch. Es scheint nämlich so, als wollte mich meine Mama noch in eine richtige Hausfrau verwandeln bevor ich im Herbst ausziehe. Deswegen bin ich jetzt jeden Tag für das Mittagessen zuständig und bisher hat es -erstaunlicherweise- jedes mal geschmeckt. Ich bin der größte Liebhaber von Flammkuchen. Die klassische Version mit Schinken, Creme fraiche und Zwiebeln liebe ich, aber zu einer süßen Variante mit Äpfeln und Erdbeeren kann ich auch nicht nein sagen. I don´t know if I´ve mentioned this before, but I am slowly becoming a chef in the kitchen. It seems, like my mom wants to turn me into a proper housewife before moving out in fall, so I am in charge of lunch every single day - and so far, I´m doing a pretty good job! I am the biggest sucker for tarte flambées. I love the classic version with ham, sour cream and onions, but I also cannot say no to a sweet one with apples and strawberries. You will soon find the recipe on the blog, so stay tuned for that!
